Making Paste Papers Workshop
a selection of paste papers
This month we are conducting a Paste Paper Workshop taught by Piper Head.
Paste paper is one of the oldest decorated papers used by bookbinders and can be found in books that are centuries old. Paste papers are created by painting or spreading a tinted paste-based mixture onto paper and then manipulating the surface with tools to create patterns and textures.
In this workshop, participants will create multiple pages of paste paper designs, suitable for bookbinding, greeting cards, mixed media collage, or standalone artwork.
This process is fun, beautiful and a little messy.
Level: Beginner+
Please bring your imagination and an Apron to protect your clothes.
