Risograph WORKSHOP with rachel simmons

RISOGRAPH Workshop

Create colorful layered prints or zines using the Risograph. Risograph are stencil duplicators (working with color separation like screen printing) that use vibrant soy-based inks in rich colors, creating unique textural qualities perfect for small-circulation DIY publications and prints. In this workshop, we’ll layer imagery from sketchbooks, books, and magazines to explore creative expression. Participants can work individually or in pairs.

PROCESS:

  1. Build collage imagery for a two-color print or zine, sized at 11” x 17”

  2. Print both color runs on the risograph

  3. Fold, share, and exchange zines and prints!

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Visual artists: Sketchbooks, old books, or magazines with interesting imagery

  • Writers: Works-in-progress, found texts, or come ready to write in response to images

  • Paper & ink will be provided!

LOCATION:

Rollins College Book Art + Printmaking Studio 1000 Holt Ave. Winter Park, FL 32804
